Take refresher course

I almost laughed out loud reading Leonard Pitts' column of Oct. 4 on why he mistrusts Fox News. Yes, every news outlet gets it wrong on occasion. But those inaccuracies are very small potatoes compared with Dan Rather pushing a forged document on the American public in order to discredit former President George W. Bush.

Now that was a news organization in a class by itself.

Real Fox News programs are, in my opinion, as fair as any.

Maybe Pitts should take a refresher course in journalism so he can distinguish between news programs (facts) and those that are commentary (opinions). Actually, most of the mainstream media personnel should take the same refresher course so they can recognize the difference and stop stating their opinions as facts.

While we're at it, many in the Obama administration should take it, too, then the president wouldn't have to be constantly correcting with spin, pulling back, and explaining what the tax cheats really meant to say or do.

Fox News fair. That's a

Fox News fair. That's a joke. Balanced ridiculous. I agree with Scotty_O. Don't like it don't watch it. I don't like it. I never watch it. If I want opinoin I'll get it from Maddow and friends where the opinoins are based on facts that I can document not based on RNC propaganda.
But I do think that the RNC should be required to report the costs of Fox programming as an in-kind contribution.

And the DNC can report all

And the DNC can report all the rest. If there was a sycophant tax, it would go broke tomorrow.

I see a ton of

I see a ton of point/counter-point dialogue on FOX, not so much on CBS, ABC, CNN, and none on NBC, or MSNBC. Hey, is it true that Maddow is just Olbermann in drag?

Even if Fox was biased, it

Even if Fox was biased, it will never be as biased as NBC, ABC, CBS, and most all newspapers in this country. All of these are one-sided favoring the Left and Obama

Fox news is biased? Where

Fox news is biased? Where was everybody who is pissed at fox for the last 8yrs? MSNBC, ABC, CBS, etc are all pro obama and spent 8yrs all but throwing crap like rabid monkeys at George Bush. We had celeberties, politicians, news groups calling him a Nazi, "not my president!" ,"Dissedence is patriotism", " impeach ignorance" so on and so forth... So what, now we are all supposed to cry "all hail to the chosen one!" ? Why cant obama face the same critics, the same scrutiny? I must of missed the memo about how he is above what every president has faced since the inception of the role. Im sorry but if him and his cult followers cant take the heat then go cry outside of the kitchen. I for one, even as republican, want any president to succeed. Thats just common sense. Yet I wont jump on the band wagon until he backs what he preached in his charisma contest/election. I for one will not be wooed by his speeches. As a matter of fact I am tired of his speeches. Do, and then I will applaud.

Yes, I agree. New networks

Yes, I agree. New networks cater to people with certain tastes. Don't like Fox, then watch MSNBC. Don't like MSNBC, then watch Fox. It's as simple as that. And if you don't like either, then watch Dancing with the Stars.

FOX News had no legitimate

FOX News had no legitimate news programming, it is all opinionated. Even the "news programs " have the news readers voicing their opinions on virtually every new item they read. Even that wouldn't so bad if they had all different opinions, but they don't they are all heavily right wing wacko opinions. They had on commentator who was a moderate, Alan Colmes, but then they kicked him off and delegated him to an occasional spot on other commentary shows. So much for fair and balanced.

Tron, you are referring to

Tron, you are referring to analysis shows. Matthew and Olbermann are just as bad the other way.
I agree Alan Colmes was rather moderate, and I admit that I have watched less on Hannity since he has left the show. He was a good balance with Sean Hannity.
