PORTLAND (AP) - Organizers of a health care rally Saturday in Portland's Monument Square are boldly predicting it'll be the largest health care march in Maine history.

Greg Howard from Change That Works says at least 500 people have signed up for buses or vans coming from all corners from the state.

President Barack Obama has promised to remake the nation's health care system and cover some 50 million uninsured. And speakers, including Republican Sen. Peter Mills and House Speaker Hannah Pingree, a Democrat, will press the case.

The Senate health committee approved a health care reform plan on Wednesday, and House Democrats are preparing to advance legislation.
