LEWISTON - Will Boe-Wiegaard of Bates College sliced his way through the field to win Flight A of the Wallach Invitational at Bates. He later teamed up with Tristan Beach to capture the doubles title.
Boe-Wiegaard lost just one game in sweeping the semifinals and finals over Will Fleder of Tufts and Danny Babkes of Amherst. Beech lost to Bables in the A Flight semifinal.
Ben Crane of Colby captured the B Flight with a 6-4, 10-8 triumph ver Sean McCooey of Tufts. Crane had several tough wins en route to his title, including an opening 6-3, 7-6 win over Bates' Josh Feinberg in the first round.
