Paul O. Wright II
1926 - 2009

AUGUSTA — Paul (Chuck) O. Wright II, 82 of Bingham Road, Bingham, passed away Friday, Oct. 16, at the Togus Veterans Hospital, after a long illness.

He was born in Lewiston, Dec. 26, 1926, a son of the late Paul O. and Bertha (Miller) Wright Sr. He graduated from Edward Little High School, Class of 1945, and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was married to the former Edith A. Robinson, who passed on Feb. 16, 2008.

He worked many years as a salesman, jazz musician and blacksmith. He played with great local musicians and had a long tenure with the Heart and Soul Band at Graziano's in Lisbon for more than 30 years.

His passion was his love of jazz music and his many years of dedication and promoting jazz music in Maine. He also enjoyed his love of his horses and was involved in many local horse organizations. He received benefit and pleasure from the company of his many cats, dogs and horses over the years and filling the bird feeders in the backyard for his wife, who enjoyed watching them.

He will be remembered for his beautiful velvet sultry voice and music he performed with his bands as well as the Big Bands and musicians alike. He also was a great mentor to many youth, who had a passion for music and horses.

He leaves behind his children and stepchildren, Jeffrey of Alaska, Trudy, Louella, Judy, Teresa, Barry, Jeff and Sherry; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Pamela Corbett of Florida; and brother, Gary Wright and his wife, Sharron, of Winslow.

He was predeceased by his good friend, Russell Robinson, also a World War II veteran.

He was the patriarch of the Wright family and will be sadly missed by all that really loved and adored him and personaly knew him.

A special thank-you to all his doctors and medical staff that assisted him during his illness.

Two of my Favorite Quotes I would like to share.
"Here's to me,as Bad as I am,and here's to you,as Good as you are.
And as Good as you are,and as Bad as I am,I am as Good as you are,as Bad as I am"!

Everyone has a right to their own thought's & Feelings. Negative Comments left from ANGRY People in Hindsight, doesn't make them any Better than the Person they're Commenting about!
Such as the Old-Saying goes: "If you don't have anything Good to say,...Don't say it at all"!!
My Father had No-Control of the People mentioned,or not mentioned in this Obituary! Nor did he have Control as to how it was written! Perhaps you should look to the Source!

My condolences to the family..... Maybe people should think before that start judging others. They never liked the man and disrepected their own mother at her funeral. Maybe that is why they are not mentioned. Go figure......

It is really too bad that when someone passes away and the family that is remaining seems to forget all of the remaining other family members.
Paul had a few more step-children that was not mentioned. Allan Guimond and his wife Betty, Dana Guimond and his wife Katherine, Patricia Cox and her husband Tim
