Lewiston: The Mayor's Race

Incumbent Mayor Larry Gilbert hopes to become the mayor with the longest term under the current charter. Gilbert was elected in February 2008 to replace Lionel Guay when he resigned with a year left on his term; Gilbert was re-elected in 2008. He faces challenger Mark Paradis, a three-term city councilor from Ward 6.
