Lewiston: Ward 1

 Three candidates are seeking to replace outgoing Ward 1 representative Tom Peters: former School Committee member John Butler, Stanley Pelletier and Doug Stone.

John Butler

Age: 51

Address: 20 Ware St.

Occupation: Outside sales, Butler Brothers

Education: Lewiston High School graduate; Bachelors in science, St. Michaels College, Winooski, Vt.

Political experience: Lewiston School Committee member for 16 years

Community Organizations: Farwell School building committee co-chair; Geiger School building committee member; State of Maine Truance, Dropout, Alternative Education and Homeless Committee.

 

 

Stanley Pelletier

Age: 63

Address: 28 S. Surry Lane

Occupation: Owner and operator Stan Pelletier's Towing, C&J Banquet Facilities; landlord

Political experience: Vice chair, Lewiston Democratic Committee

Community Organizations: Maine Apartment Owner and Manager's Association; Lewiston and Auburn Landlord Assocation; Lewiston Elks; American Legion Post 153.


Douglas Stone

Age: 45

Education: Associates degrees in Business Management and Hospitality Management, Mid-State College

Political experience: None

Community Organizations: Sunnyside Neighborhood Group; Elks Lodge.
