The Meadows hosts kids' clinic

The Meadows Golf Club in Litchfield hosted 25 local youths ages 6 to 10 for a free golf clinic, "Swing Into Golf." The children were from Monmouth, Litchfield, Richmond, Sabattus, Wales and Gardiner. Golf coaches Karl Swenson of Gardiner Area High School and Mike Pelletier of Oak Hill High School assisted with instruction along with members of the club and the Oak Hill golf team. Each child was accompanied by at at least one parent to help with the instruction and learning. Everyone enjoyed food and drinks. The event was sponsored by the Augusta Elks, Gardiner Elks, Pine State Trading Company and The Meadows.
