LEWISTON — The following cases were closed recently in 8th District Court:

Abdullah R. Saleem, 51, Lewiston, operating vehicle without license, attaching false plates, theft by receiving stolen property on Nov. 16, 2008, found guilty on first charge, fined $100; found guilty on second charge, sentenced to 24 hours; third charge dismissed.

William Sampson Sr., 44, Lewiston, domestic violence assault, domestic violence criminal threatening, three counts of unlawful possession of scheduled drug on Nov. 19, 2008, found guilty on first and second charges, sentenced to 90 days each; all other charges dismissed.

Teri Lynn Sanborn, 42, Lewiston, operating under the influence-one prior on Dec. 12, 2008, sent to jury trial.

Kenny D. Scales, 26, Lewiston, operating after habitual offender revocation, carrying concealed weapon on Oct. 4, 2008, found guilty on first charge, fined $500, sentenced to 30 days; second charge dismissed.

Kenny D. Scales, 26, Lewiston, violating condition of release on Nov. 1, 2008, dismissed.

Kenny D. Scales, 26, Lewiston, possession of marijuana on Oct. 4, 2008, dismissed.

Derek Schenk, 29, Portland, operating while license suspended or revoked-prior on Dec. 5, 2008, sent to jury trial.

Nina C. Schwabe, 23, Portland, sale and use of drug paraphernalia on Nov. 16, 2008, offense committed, fined $300.

Lynda Sellers, 44, Lewiston, negotiating a worthless instrument on April 4, 2008, found guilty, fined $75, restitution of $415.

Hussein Shire, 26, Minneapolis, Minn., theft of services on Dec. 19, 2008, found guilty, fined $100, restitution of $35.

Russell Sinclair, 34, Lewiston, disorderly conduct on July 30, 2006, found guilty, fined $100, sentenced to 24 hours.

Shane B. Small, 24, Lisbon Falls, domestic violence assault, domestic violence terrorizing, violating condition of release on Feb. 11, probation violation on first charge, sentenced to 115 days, probation partially revoked; second charge dismissed; found guilty on third charge, sentenced to seven days.

Jeffrey Smart, 36, Auburn, criminal mischief on Oct. 1, 2008, dismissed.

Craig A. Smith, 23, Dover, N.H., sale and use of drug paraphernalia on Jan. 23, offense committed, fined $300.

Jesse C. Smith, 23, Auburn, operating while license suspended or revoked on Feb. 11, 2008, found guilty, fined $250.

Jessie Smith, 23, Lewiston, sale and use of drug paraphernalia on Sept. 14, 2007, dismissed.

Tad Christopher Smith, 37, Lewiston, false public alarm or report, disorderly conduct-loud unreasonable noise on Feb. 4, first charge dismissed; found guilty on second charge, sentenced to six days.

Roosevelt Spearman Jr., 21, Lewiston, disorderly conduct-loud unreasonable noise on Dec. 24, 2008, found guilty, fined $75.

Kara D. St. Hilaire, 20, Auburn, sale and use of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana on Sept. 5, 2008, first charge dismissed; second offense committed, fined $450.
