DEAR SUN SPOTS: The First Congregational Christian Church will be holding its annual holiday fair on Saturday, Nov. 14, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. We will have the usual offerings, including baked goods, crafts, quilt raffle and white elephant items. The Middle School Youth Group will also be hosting a luncheon in their Snowflake Tea Room. The church is located at the intersection of Intervale Road (Route 231) and Church Road. — Annette Tynes, New Gloucester
DEAR SUN SPOTS: The Church of the Nazarene in Livermore Falls is having a craft fair on Saturday, Nov. 7, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. We are looking for crafters who would be interested in renting a space. Tables are $15 but if you bring your own table the charge is only $7. You can reach me at 491-9391. God bless. — Ann Foss, Treasurer
DEAR SUN SPOTS: You have always come through for us, and I sincerely thank you for that. I also want to thank all the people who have so generously donated items for the garage sales which we have held every weekend of the summer and those who participated in our yearly bazaar in early October.
Now we ask for continued support for our Christmas fair scheduled on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 13 and 14, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day. This will bring an end to this kind of activity for the winter, but be assured that these regular sales have permitted Loaves and Fishes to help more people than we were able to count. May God bless the individuals and families who have been part of this one way or another.
The Sisters' convent at 61 Lisbon Road in Sabattus is due for a good cleanup. Consequently, we ask that anyone with further appreciated donations be kind enough to hold those until the end of March 2010, when we plan to get ready for another cycle of summer garage sales.
For more information on the Christmas fair, please call organizer Susan Potvin at 375-8399. If interested on more information about Loaves and Fishes, check our new Web site, www.sabattusdominicans.org. Love. — Sister Lucille Fournier, Sabattus
DEAR SUN SPOTS: On Saturday, Oct. 31, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. the Oxford Fire Relief will be holding its seventh annual fall craft fair at the Oxford Public Safety Building on Route 26 in Oxford. This year we will be hosting more than 50 different crafters from around the area.
In addition, the Oxford Fire Relief will be providing, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., free kid activities and will be hosting the Ancient Free & Accepted Masons with their free Child Identification Fingerprinting Program (CHIPS). Something for everyone. Hope to see you there! — David Stearns, treasurer, Oxford Fire Relief
