Rumford/Mexico high schools super reunion looking for logo

RUMFORD — A logo is needed to symbolize the 10 classes that graduated from Rumford and Mexico high schools between 1980 and 1989.

A committee is planning a super reunion for Aug. 6 and 7, 2010, for the hundreds of students who attended the two high schools, along with faculty members during the 10 years before the two merged.

The logo, to be designed by a member of one of the classes, will be used in all advertisements for the event, posters, and on T-shirts to be sold for the event, Reunion Committee member Janet Hall said in an e-mail.

Guidelines include:

• No more than three colors that would work on gray T-shirts;

• Electronic submissions to superreunion8089@gmail.com;

• Deadline Nov. 15;

• Winning designer given two free admissions to the event, valued at $70.

Activities begin Friday night, followed by a family day at the Mexico Recreation Park and hors d'ouevres and dancing among other things, at a Sunday River hotel on Saturday.
