Will destroy the nation
Sen. Harry Reid stated in an almost euphoric manner that the proposed U.S. health care plan would cost the nation $1.8 trillion. He acts as though a trillion dollars is simply a few million lumped together.
Allow me to put some scale on one trillion.
As we all know there are 60 seconds in one minute. A million seconds equates 11.5 days. A billion seconds equates to 31.7 years; and a trillion seconds is 31,700 years.
Now, think of that in terms of dollars and anyone can see why generations to come will be in debt forever if the national health care bill gets approved.
Congress should work on fixing the existing health care program while maintaining the great aspects already available. There is no need to create another government-run program that is destined to fail.
President Barack Obama's proposed national health care system would destroy the nation. As Nikita Khrushchev said years ago, "The United States will destroy itself from within."

Of course we're treated to the daily regurgitations of the Republi-cons and their constant cries that everything Obama and the Democrats do is wrong. You know who the Republi-cons are-the same folks who from 1994-2006 squandered the largest budget surplus and created the largest deficit. The same folks who did not pass a single bill support health care, patient rights or job creation, but passed plenty of tax breaks for the richest Americans. Did any of you common folk benefit from that? I sure didn't and I'm as common as it gets. How about the same folks who led us into a war predicated on lies, and the debt for which continues to climb, now at about $950 billion. The Bush administration assured the American people that the war would cost between $50-60 billon. Once again, Bush, and the Republi-cons, were as right as they were when they announce "Mission Accomplished" and "you're doing a heckuva job, Brownie." The Republi-cons are the ones who constantly preach "what's good for business is good for America" and deregulated everything, which opened the doors to businesses moving offshore and firing American workers. The Republi-cons are the ones who sat around and watched the economy tank and did NOTHING about it.
The Democrats have only held sway for about 10 months, and yet the Republi-cons, who took 11 years to drive this country into the ground, are complaining because the Democrats having cleaned up all of the Republi-con mess yet. And now we have talk of the Republi-cons possibly coming back to power next year. God, I hope not-we CAN'T AFFORD IT!
