AUBURN — An evening of mystery, murder and good eating is on the agenda when YPLAA holds its annual meeting and awards ceremony at Martindale Country Club this Friday.

Titled "Lights Camera Murder," the mystery dinner is just one element of the annual event held by the Young Professionals of the Lewiston Auburn Area. It will also include a buffet dinner, a silent auction with a host of items and presentation of annual awards. Attendees are being encouraged to dress for the occasion in the Halloween costume of their choice.

This year's award winners are: Against All Odds Award: Janet Verrill; Business Champion Award: Androscoggin Bank; Community Involvement Award: Jennifer Gendron; Entrepreneur Award: Jennifer Audette; and Past Chair Award: Jonathan LaBonte. In addition, the winner of the Mentor Award will be announced at the award ceremony.

Cocktail hour begins at 6 p.m., with the show starting at 7 p.m. Tickets are $35 each. To purchase tickets, call Jenny at the chamber at 783-2249 or go to www.yplaa.com.
