LEWISTON — Androscoggin Dance Company will present "For Hope and a Future" on Saturday, Nov. 14, at the Franco-American Heritage Center. Proceeds will benefit the Maine Children's Cancer Program as well as Androscoggin Dance.

Guest choreographers include Carol Dilley, director of dance at Bates College; Debi Irons of Art Moves Dance Project; and Sasha Randall, director of dance at Berwick Academy. Elizabeth Hansen, artistic director of Androscoggin Dance, as well as company members and students will debut several pieces created especially for this event.

Androscoggin Dance was founded in 2008 to provide opportunities for dancers in the Lewiston-Auburn area to study, train and perform locally. The school and company work to prepare students to move on to nationally recognized schools and to dance professionally. Androscoggin Dance Company programs feature classical ballet, contemporary ballet, modern dance and jazz.

"For Hope and a Future," hosted by the Franco center's resident dance company, will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Advance tickets are $12 for adults, $8 for children up to 12 years old. They will be $15/$10 at the door. To order tickets, call LA Arts at 782-7228. For more information, visit www.androscoggindance.org.
