After participating in all 30 years of the Maine moose lottery, Dan Gousse of Wales finally got his moose this season. Gousse won a permit last year but did not get his moose. This time, his wife, Diane, had her name chosen and listed Dan as her subpermittee. Assigned to Zone 5, Dan Gousse shot a 891-pound bull moose with a 52-inch antler span on Sept. 30.
