Vehicle windows broken on Halloween

FARMINGTON —  Two vehicles were reported damaged Sunday in what appears to be separate random acts on Halloween night, said Farmington officer Matthew Hunt.

The rear window of a Jeep Cherokee at 520 Weeks Mills Road was shot out with what appears to be a small pellet gun, he said. No other damage was done to the vehicle and it appears to just be an isolated case, he said.

A second vehicle, a 1992 Chevrolet parked at 202 High St., also had a rear window broken Saturday night. Police believe the window was smashed with an object the person carried or brought to the scene and it was probably someone just passing the home. Nothing was taken from the vehicle and no other damage was done, he said.

Despite the almost full moon, the rainy Halloween night was fairly quiet, Hunt said.
