DIXFIELD - Arrest warrants have been issued for two more men in connection with a beating that left a Peru man with broken facial bones.

Dixfield police Sgt. Jeffrey Howe said warrants are out for Shawn Noyes, 33, of 21 Brian St., Dixfield, and John Vargas, 33, of Peru. They are wanted on a charge of aggravated assault, police said.

Already charged with aggravated assault in the attack are David J. Gallant, 34, of 24 Parker St., Mexico, and David Wing, 34, of 21 Brian St., Dixfield, Howe said. A fifth man believed to be involved is also being sought, he said.

Howe said the assault took place inside Noyes' home the night of Oct. 28, but was not reported until Oct. 30. The victim was beaten with fits and feet, he said, and suffered fractures to an eye socket and sinus cavity, lost at least one tooth and sustained other injuries. He refused to be treated at a hospital, Howe said.

Gallant and Wing were arrested at the house Oct. 30 and taken to the Oxford County jail. Wing was immediately released on unspecified bail. Gallant was released Monday on unspecified bail.
