AUBURN — The Auburn PD Regional Explorer Post #333 received a generous "Good Works Grant" from the Auburn Super Wal-Mart.

"Wal-Mart believes in operating globally and giving back locally," says Auburn's Deputy Police Chief Jason Moen. "Through this Good Works funding, Post #333 will help outstanding young adults in this region to truly make a difference in their community, while they develop skills that will serve them well throughout their careers."

Post #333 offers an exciting opportunity for area youths to explore a career in law enforcement, learn to help others, serve their community, develop leadership skills, build physical and mental fitness, gain both career and personal skills and have fun.

Law Enforcement Exploring is a career-oriented program that gives young adults the opportunity to explore a career in law enforcement by working with local law enforcement agencies. The program is available to qualified young adults of high moral character between the ages 14 and 21.

Exploring programs are based on five areas of emphasis: career opportunities, life skills, citizenship, character education and leadership experience.
