Benson Award winners

The inaugural Jamie Benson Awards were presented last month. The award goes to one 7th or 8th-grade boy and girl who show a constant work ethic during soccer practice and games, have the ability to be a team player, are honest and compassionate toward others, and have a genuine love and competitiveness for soccer. These recipients received a plaque and a $200 scholarship to a sports camp of their choice. The two winners were Llewellyn Jensen and Olivia Paione, both seventh-graders. Pictured left to right are AMS boys soccer coach: Ben Caswell, Jensen, Jeff Benson (Jamie's father), Paione, and girls' soccer coach Katie Lutts.

1. The MTA board is an unpaid position. In other words, my work is free to the MTA.
2. The "cushy" benefits consist of gas money to meetings. It is precisely $55 a meeting, held about once a month.
3. If he had to rely on the $55 a month, I believe I would be anything other than secure.
Hope that adjusts your view of service as an MTA board member. And what does this have to do with the subject matter of this thread?

It's a shame Ms. Proulx felt pressured into moving aside for the other car, since there is just one driving lane on that section of Ash St. now, and no passing. Too bad the offender got away.
