Basket benefit for library

Published on Wednesday, Nov 4, 2009 at 2:02 am | Last updated on Wednesday, Nov 4, 2009 at 2:02 am
Jeanne Duguay, a member of the Friends of the Mexico Public Library, checks out some of the 20 themed baskets that will be raffled off on Nov. 24. Each basket, filled with six to 10 themed items, will be on display in the library where chances will be sold at $1 for one ticket, $2 for three tickets and $5 for seven tickets. Basket themes include Christmas, movies, babies, crafts, tea, blueberries, a winter evening and kid's crafts. The friends are holding the third annual raffle to benefit the library. It is the largest fundraiser held each year.
