OXFORD — Joseph L. Bowen, 66, of Oxford died Monday, Nov. 2.
He was born in Gardiner, Dec. 27, 1942, to Winford and Ada (Lyman) Bowen.
He married the former Sue Cote on Aug. 14, 1964.
He worked as a machinist most recently for MP&G. He enjoyed working with steam engines and rebuilding a piper cub airplane.
He is survived by his wife, Sue of Oxford; four children, Scott Bowen of Alabama, Julie Bowen of Oxford, Jason Bowen and Curtis Bowen, both of Colorado; one sister, Mary Bowen of Livermore Falls; five grandchildren, Cody, John, Kathryn, Chloe and Cormik; and one great-grandchild, Riley Ann.
