PARIS - The Maine Association of Basketball Coaches will offer a free youth basketball coaching clinic Tuesday, Nov. 10 at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School. This clinic is made possible by the generous donation of longtime coach Ron Brown. The clinic is designed for youth, middle school and subvarsity coaches.
The clinic will last from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. Presenters will include Scott Graffam from Oxford Hills, Billie L'Heureux and Sedge Saunders from Fryeburg Academy and Craig Jipson from Edward Little High School. Topics include offensive and defensive fundamental drills, out-of-bounds plays and teaching offensive sets.
Farmington youth wrestling callout
FARMINGTON - Starting Nov. 16 and ending the last week in January 2010, Farmington area youth wrestling will hold its fourth season. A fee of $20 per wrestler covers the entire campaign.
Age groups and times are posted below. Any questions, please call Coach O'Connor @ 491-8144:
K-Grade 3, Mondays (fee includes a t-shirt).
Grade 4-5, Tuesdays (fee includes a t-shirt).
Grades 6-8 and Mat Cats, Thursdays (fee is for supplies and gear).
