AUBURN — Two people were ejected from the car they were riding in when it crashed early Sunday morning in Auburn.
The crash occurred at 1 a.m. Sunday on Hotel Road between Sandy Beach Lane and Crest Avenue.
According to the police report, Sean R. Little, 22, of Auburn, was northbound on Hotel Road when he swerved to miss a deer, lost control and rolled over. Two passengers, Anthony Frank Samay, 23, and Shannon K. Lord, 31, were ejected from the vehicle. No information was available Tuesday night from either Central Maine Medical Center or St. Mary's Regional Medical Center about any of the three or a fourth passenger, Todd William Owens, 24, according to nursing supervisors.
Police were not able to say whether anyone was transported to either hospital, although three ambulances responded to the scene.
Little told police he was driving at a high rate of speed, according to the accident report. Damage to Little's 1996 Volkswagen four-door was estimated at $6,000. Damage to the utility pole that Little's car hit was estimated at $3,000. The accident remained under investigation Tuesday.
