LEWISTON — A man who jumped from a fifth-floor balcony Monday night to avoid arrest remained hospitalized Tuesday night.
Lt. Mark Watson of the Lewiston Police Department said John Esty Jr. of Lewiston was still a patient at Central Maine Medical Center. Additional information about Esty's injuries or condition was not available from Watson or the hospital.
Esty was charged at 9:55 p.m. Monday with a warrant for probation revocation. The 27-year-old jumped off a balcony at 295 Bates St. shortly before 10 p.m. when officers arrived to arrest him on the warrant.
He reportedly suffered nonlife-threatening injuries.

I am glad to see the young man is not seriuosly hurt.Hopefully he gets the right help.

I understand that, but I am curious as to why they originally named his brother. I mean, did John originally give the wrong name? Did the police misidentify? Where did they get the info?
Soooo... Why did you report it was Justin yesterday anyway?
And he is mending on our dime.
