Theresa Easter, 51, of Raymond said the brakes on her 1996 Dodge pickup failed as she descended a hill on Route 219 at Trap Corner in West Paris late Friday afternoon, Maine State Police Trooper Greg Tirado said. The truck sailed across Route 26, missed two railroad cars on the other side, hit some debris which slowed it down and finally stopped in a field. Easter was not hurt, the trooper said.
