Old Orchard deaths investigated as murder-suicide
Sgt. Chris Harriman said a family friend found 55-year-old Bruce Savoy and 50-year-old Stacey Savoy inside their Pleasant Street home shortly after 9 a.m. Tuesday. Nobody heard gunshots, but police think the shootings took place Monday around 6 p.m.
Harriman said Bruce Savoy worked as a code enforcement officer in Wells and as a volunteer firefighter in Old Orchard Beach, and that Stacey Savoy worked at Unum Corp.
Police said a gun has been recoveredby the bodies and three suicide notes were found inside the house written by Savoy, who cited the pending breakup of his marriage. The bodies were taken to the state medical examiner's office for examination.

Second he was a cop for a couple of different cities, which you would know if you did any reading beyond this website, specifically the SJ's media partner, the right wing Channel 13. Perhaps we should also require psyche exams for posters who have a need to personally attack people, but then a lot of people would fail.

This is an important start to resurrecting the fishery in the Gulf of Maine. The article does not mention how corrupted the natural flows of the Kennebec River watershed are. Timing and amounts of flow volume has been greatly changed over the last 40 years. Storage lakes at the headwaters and ponds feeding the Kennebec are now keep full all spring, summer, and into late fall. Many ponds are not drawn down at all like they historically were. China Lake is a good example. This change in flows upsets migrational cues among other impacts. It is very easy to screen off turbines so the young salmon do not become minced by the blades and build working fishways. We need leadership in Augusta who want to restore a once great industry.
