Treister was named Monday as the Colonial Athletic Association's offensive player of the week. Treister, from Cape Elizabeth, completed 39 for 45 passes for a total of 465 yards and five touchdowns, and plunged into the end zone himself for another score on Saturday.
He broke UMaine's record for completions, previously held by Mickey Fein in 1997 against Connecticut, and broke Mike Buck's record for percentage of passes completed. Buck set that record in 1988 against Northeastern.
The Black Bears travel to New Hampshire on Saturday.
