Music show

SALEM — A country music show with A&E Hill Country Music, Austin and Elaine Marden, Willie Dunham and Lew and Linda Lyman will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22, at the Salem Community Building.

Refreshments will be on sale and a donation box will be at the door. The event is sponsored by the Salem Pine Tree Club.

Church fair

FARMINGTON — The Trinity United Methodist Women of Farmington will have their annual Christmas Fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m Saturday, Nov. 21, at the Trinity United Methodist Church, Route 2. There will also be a turkey and biscuit meal with dessert, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The fair will offer a variety of gifts for all occasions. On hand will be Thanksgiving and Christmas decorations, needlework, knitted goods, handmade gifts, plants, baked goods, candy, jams, jellies and relishes. There will also be a cookie walk.

All proceeds from the fair will be directed to projects focusing on women and children. For more information, contact Lois Barker at 684-4832.

Christmas fair

PHILLIPS — A Christmas Fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, at the Phillips Community House. Assorted new and gently used articles will be available, as well as an array of home-cooked foods. Coffee will be available from 9 to 11 a.m. and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. a luncheon will be served, including vegetarian chili, tomato soup, hot dogs, chips, dessert and beverages.
During the fair, there will be a 50-50 raffle.

Those wishing to donate to the fair may bring gift items to the Community House from 10 a.m. to noon Friday, Nov. 20, and may bring food from 8:30 to 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 21. The fair benefits the Phillips Shared Ministry.

Scout sampler

KINGFIELD — Girl Scouts of Maine will host a two-week sampler program for all girls in grades kindergarten through five in the Kingfield area from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 23 and 30, at Kingfield Elementary School. Girls must be accompanied by an adult.

Annual dinner

RANGELEY — The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd will host their annual senior citizen Thanksgiving dinner at noon Sunday, Nov. 22. The church is located at 2614 Main St. The meal will include turkey with all the trimmings, apple and pumpkin pies. There will be door prizes. For more information, call 864-5583.

Pie, bread sale

FARMINGTON — A Thanksgiving pie and bread sale will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 24, at the Cascade Brook School library. Proceeds from the sale will benefit the school's enrichment programs.
