LEWISTON — Evelyn A. Snyder, 68, of Hazel Street, Auburn, died Tuesday, Nov. 17. at St. Mary's Hospital with her family by her side.
She was born in Rumford on June 2, 1941, the daughter of the late Anthony and Louise Derocco. She was educated in Rumford schools.
Evelyn worked as the executive administrator of the Pineland Center for many years, and later at L.L. Bean during the winter. In the summertime, she enjoyed going to camp on Webb Lake in Weld. She also enjoyed puzzles, knitting and traveling — her last journey was to visit her son Daniel in Florida in 2008.
Evelyn is survived by her two sons, Don Snyder and his children, Andrew and Leanne, of East Waterboro, and Daniel Snyder his wife, Maureen, and their son Joshua, of Rock Ledge, Fla. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.
