Hartford students enjoy feast
Enjoying a Thanksgiving meal at Hartford-Sumner Elementary School in Hartford on Thursday were Katherine Perry, her mom, Fatma Perry, and grandfather Bob Perry.

Overseeing the serving of Thanksgiving dinner at the Hartford-Sumner Elementary School in Hartford on Thursday were cafeteria manager Jo Marston and school nutritionist Jenna Cloutier.
Jo Marston and Jenna Cloutier and their staff did all of the planning and preparation along with their staff, Cloutier, the school nutritionist, said.
Western Regional School District Superintendent Tom Ward welcomed the large group of attendees and declared the event "an embedded tradition."
Principal Ryan Wilkins said he thought the dinner was a good way to bring the community together. He said the kitchen staff and students were very excited about the event.Rita Humphrey, grandmother to sixth-grader Avery La Grange, said, "It's wonderful. It's my first time and I would come again."
Fatma Perry said it was her third time attending and it's always fun. She was there with her daughter Katherine and Bob Perry, Katherine's grandfather.
Approximately 200 meals were served.

I know it is an election year and this is too well timed to be a coincidence but you have to admit you never, ever would see something like this coming from a Republican administration. I also take it as a sign the economy is in better shape than most people admit. I doubt the banks would have agreed to this unless they could easily afford it.

ash, pine, howe, all those streets are bad. Especially horton coming from ash or pine. People park on the corner to go the bank or to the store, park on the side of horton street where there is no parking signs. People don't stop at stop signs. There are a lot of kids around getting on and off buses. Those streets are all 25 mph. Slow down!!!!!!! I live on horton street and since I have been here there have been 6 accidents in the area of horton and pine, howe, walnut and bartlett. Plus people have been turning left from bartlett to ash. Ash is one way, you can only turn right if you are coming from sabattus street. If you are coming from walnut street you can only turn left. If you don't know the area look at the signs. Every street is clearly marked. Since ash street is now a one lane road, there needs to be no parking. There isn't enough room when there is snow. Best thing to do is just slow down.
