BRIDGTON — A candlelight procession and parade will light up Bridgton on Saturday as part of the town's holiday festivities.

The town will have 2,000 candles available for distribution at Pondicherry Square. At 5:15 p.m., participants will walk from there along Main Street, over Methodist Hill, and into Post Office Square before arriving at Stevens Brook Park. There, a tree-lighting ceremony will take place at 5:30 p.m.

This event will immediately be followed by the annual holiday parade, which has a theme this year of "Bridgton Christmas Through the Decades." After the parade, Santa Claus will make an appearance at the Bridgton Community Center.

For more information on the candlelight procession and tree lighting, contact Alan Manoian at 647-8786. For more information on the parade, contact Ken Murphy at 647-2917.
