Obama to press for health care reform on N.H. visit

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. (AP) — President Barack Obama is looking forward to making his case for health care reform Tuesday at Portsmouth High School in New Hampshire.

Melody Barnes, the president's domestic policy adviser, says Obama will explain to Seacoast residents what's at stake, and why it's important to move forward now.

Barnes said even those who have insurance understand the problem because health care premiums have doubled in 15 years, causing deductibles and co-payments to go up.

Those who haven't already registered have missed the boat. The deadline for registering online for up to two tickets was 3 p.m. Saturday. It's unclear how many people will be invited to the town hall-style forum; Stone Gymnasium has a capacity of about 2,500 people.

Why can't we concentrate on

Why can't we concentrate on the economy? This prez has a bad case of ADD. And why can't Republicans be deisruptive for once? Libs love to be disruptive and protest, can't the conservatives have a turn? Besides, most senators don't know how we are going to pay for this debacle, just like the school bus driver who bought that $250,000 home....... let the government concentrate on defense of our country, that's the one thing they were good at and it created jobs as well.

ok Gov, I checked out this

ok Gov, I checked out this "dirty tricks playbook" and I'm not quite sure what your point is- it says they will "make sure the event stays positive", "you don't want to get into screaming matches", and stopping the right wingers from "changing the tone and message of these events". How is this dirty??? The top part of the memo explains what the right wing side will do (and what we see has been happening)- What is the point of yelling and being disruptive? Why cant everyone show up to these events and be civil and actually talk and listen to each other? I'm sure there are legitimate concerns on both sides but I have yet to hear why this is a bad deal for me. I have very good health insurance and I will not lose it (the President has been VERY clear about this). If my grandmother is sick she will not be allowed to die (what sicko thought this one up? The term "euthanasia" only appears in the bill concerning coverage to pay for discussions with doctors about it). My current plan lists what they will and will not pay for which ultimately dictates what my doctor will do. Why does this have to be a right vs left issue? And what does ACORN have to do with this?

Look out folks, because the

Look out folks, because the local ACORN thugs will be out in force for today's event.
In fact, the SEIU front group has even created a playbook with their dirty tricks for events just like this one, and it’s posted at
