LEWISTON — The Lewiston CareerCenter at 5 Mollison Way continues its monthly programming, including workshops for job seekers and those who are considering training to upgrade their skills to increase employability.

New this month, the Lewiston CareerCenter is partnering with the Auburn Public Library to hold Job Search Skills and Résumé and Interview Skills workshops at the library. Job Search Skills will be held March 15 from 9:30 to 11 a.m., and March 18 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. The Résumé and Interview Skills workshop will be held March 22 from 9:30 to 11 a.m., and March 25 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Call 333-6640 to register for the workshops at the library.

The Industry Information Tuesday continues to highlight specific industries so individuals can learn more about jobs available in our community and the skills, knowledge areas and abilities that employers are seeking from job applicants. The next workshop will be held March 16 from 9 to 11 a.m., featuring green and renewable energy jobs. Area employers and training institutions will be on hand. Registration is required.

A job fair will be held March 8 from 9 a.m. to noon. More than 20 employers will be on hand at the CareerCenter.

The Unemployed Professionals Group meets every Monday at 1 p.m. to support unemployed and underemployed professionals. Each week a guest speaker from the business community addresses the group on a topic related to personal or professional development or job search skills.

The F.O.C.U.S. Group meets every Tuesday at 2 p.m. Like the Unemployed Professionals group, it is a facilitated networking opportunity for job search and also has guest speakers to assist job seekers as they consider all options for their job search.

Other workshops that are held each month are: Résumé Basics and Interview Skills, Job Search Skills, a Training Orientation for those considering education or training endeavors, Career Decision Making, and workshops for individuals to explore financial aid and higher education opportunities.

All CareerCenter services are free of charge. Call 753-9005 for additional information and to register for workshops held at the CareerCenter.
