Three towns in northern Androscoggin and southern Franklin County will have nomination papers available within the next two weeks for candidates seeking elected municipal and school official positions.
All elections will be held in June.
Both Livermore and Livermore Falls will have nomination papers available at the respective town offices on Monday, March 15. Those papers need to be returned on Friday, April 23.
Jay will have nomination papers available on Friday, March 26, and are due back on Monday, April 26.
Seats up for election in Livermore are a three-year selectperson position currently held by Tom Berry and a two-year term currently held by Brenda Merrill.
A two-year treasurer’s term and a two-year town clerk term are also available. Kurt Schaub and Renda Libby currently hold those positions, respectively.
A three-year term on the Regional School Unit 36 board is also available. That seat is currently held by Josee Marie Castonguay.
In Livermore Falls, two two-year selectman’s seats, currently held by Jim Collins and Jackie Knight, are up for election. Knight said previously she was not going to seek re-election to the board.
Other terms up for election are town clerk/treasurer, currently held by Kristal Flagg, and three, three-year RSU 36 terms currently held by Betsy DuBois, Ann Souther and Jennifer Pooler.
In Jay, there is a three-year selectman’s term available, which is currently held by Warren Bryant.
There are also two, three-year Jay School Committee seats available that Dan DiPompo and Judy Diaz currently hold.
In addition, there are two water district trustee seats available. One is on the North Jay Water District that is currently held by Mike Wells. The other is on the Jay Village Water District that is currently held by Richard Jackson.
