Welcome to a brand new restaurant, 290 Maine Street, our newest Chamber of Commerce member. Owners Ryan Ricci and Pete Smedberg have brought this family friendly pub to downtown Norway and it is terrific.
What’s even better is that it is open later in the evening and that is a real benefit to those who might be getting out of a meeting or a game later in the evening. Just head on over for some great food and live music each week as well, not to mention all those wide screen TV’s to watch your favorite sporting event.
And there are specials every night of the week. What else could you ask for. The service is wonderful and I know that because I’ve been there several times already. Check out the facebook page and it’s easy to get in touch with Ryan or Pete, just email them at [email protected] or call them at 744-2274.
We are in the process of putting together our Annual Business & Community Expo, scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 28, from the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School. We’re looking forward to a great event with an emphasis on the businesses in the greater Oxford Hills.
We’ll start with networking among the exhibitors and then open the Expo to the general public. And this year we’ll have “Hot Topic” seminars throughout the day on subjects like Solar Energy, Hiring, Recruiting and Retaining Millennials, Smart Homes, Healthy Living, and Internet Security so be sure to reserve your exhibitor space right now.
Simply call the office at 743-2281 or go online at www.oxfordhillsmaine.com for all the information. This is a true community event that will benefit both business and the general citizenry of the Oxford Hills. We hope you’ll plan on attending.
Memory Care Facility
One of our long time members is growing. The Memory Care at Market Square Health Care Center would like to invite the community to attend an open house at the brand new facility in South Paris on Thursday, Sept. 21.
Come and see the brand new, state-of-the-art 16 bed Memory Care facility-with a tour of the rooms, along with light appetizers, music and activities. Drop in anytime between 4-7 p.m.
Memory Care at Market Square provides round-the-clock living assistance and engaging activities in a secure environment to those living with cognitive impairments like dementia and Alzheimer’s. The Memory Care facility is located upstairs in the Market Square Health facility on 3 Market Square in South Paris.
The Oxford Hills Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a “Ribbon Cutting” for the new Memory Care at 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 21, and the public is welcome.
SCORE and the Chamber
I’m very pleased to announce that S.C.O.R.E and the Chamber are bringing back the very popular Roundtable Series and workshop sessions.
The topics will be diverse but focused squarely on the needs of businesses throughout our area. Stay tuned for a complete schedule starting perhaps as early as October.
See you next week.
