Normand O. Lizotte
1931 – 2010
LEWISTON — Normand O. Lizotte, 78, formerly of Forest Drive, Poland, died Tuesday, March 23, at St. Mary’s d’Youville Pavilion.
He was born in Littleton, N.H., July 26, 1931, a son to Lionel and Jeannette Meunier Lizotte. He attended New Hampshire schools and later entered the U.S. Navy. He married Jeannine Bernatchez on July 2, 1955, in Canada.
He worked for the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, and NC Rainville Corp. as a sheet metal fabricator, prior to his retirement in 1993.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Andy Valley Council 8742, and Assembly 2173 of the Fourth Degree in Auburn. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and his pets.
Survivors include his wife, Jeannine of Lewiston; three daughters, Anne D’Amour and her husband, Marc, of Lewiston, Suzanne Clark and her husband, Mark, of Auburn and Jeannette Manley and her companion, Cy Hill, of Auburn; a son, Michael Lizotte of Auburn; grandchildren, Jessica D’Amour of Raeford, N.C., Candace Manley of Lewiston, Cassandra Manley of Auburn, Joshua D’Amour of Lewiston and Chelsea Manley of Auburn; a great-grandson, Aiden Morrison of Auburn; his sister, Eva Morin and husband, Bert, of Auburn; and a cousin, Gerry Lizotte.
