Normand P. Gilbert


LEWISTON – Normand P. Gilbert of Minot passed away Friday, April 28, unexpectedly at the age of 39.

He was born on Aug. 31, 1966, a son of Normand and Theresa Roy Gilbert. He graduated from Edward Little High School in 1984.

He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing, hunting and racing. He currently was employed by Cooper Paving and during the off season, he drove for Chapman Trucking.

He loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his only granddaughter.

He will be remembered for his fun-loving, comedic personality.

He is survived by his wife of 15 years, the former Carol Hesketh, whom he married Sept. 1, 1990, at St. Philip’s Church; his son Brian and fiance, Katie Ellis; granddaughter, Trinity Rose of Auburn; his mom, Theresa Gilbert, of Auburn; two sisters, Connie Landry and husband, Rodney, of Lewiston, and Marie Beaucage and fianc, Randy Keenan, of Minot; three nieces, Heather Landry, Felicia and Krystal Beaucage; and his mother-in-law, Karen Henry, of Sabattus.

He was predeceased by his dad, Normand Gilbert; a brother, Fernand Gilbert; and his two beloved dogs, Sheba and Bubba.
