NORWAY — Three people are seeking two seats on the Board of Selectmen in the annual town election June 14.
Town Clerk Shirley Boyce said the deadline for submission of nomination papers is Monday.
Selectmen Bill Damon and Warren Sessions are seeking re-election to the board. They will face Wesley Wentworth, a former selectman candidate and member of other town boards.
Wentworth unsuccessfully ran for selectman last year against incumbents Bruce Cook and Irene Millett and political newcomer Michael Twitchell. Twitchell and Millett were elected to the board in 2010.
Oxford Hills School District Director Donald Gouin is also seeking re-election. He has served on the board for the past 24 years.
In other election news, Boyce said Patricia Brophey and Christopher Miller have taken out nomination papers for the two open seats on the Board of Trustees of the Norway Memorial Library. Dareth Law and Errol Libby have not taken out papers for re-election.
Neither of them could be reached for comment.
