NT&T buys Group Telecom

SOUTH PORTLAND – National Telephone & Technology has recently acquired the 15-year-old Windham-based Group Telecom Inc., an independent agent representing telecommunications service providers including Verizon, Pine Tree Networks, Choice One, Mid-Maine, BCN, Touchtone and Time Warner.

NT&T, established in 1972, has added GTI to its portfolio of existing services and named the new division NT&T Telecom Management Services.

Mark Brown, president, says the division will manage local dial tone, high-speed Internet, long distance and toll-free services for businesses throughout Maine and New Hampshire.

In addition to its South Portland headquarters, NT&T has offices in Windham and Wilton and in Dover, NH.
