NORWAY — Auditions for Oxford Hills Music and Performing Arts Association’s first production of the 2013 season, “The Good Doctor,” will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14 and Tuesday, Jan. 15, Rowe School, Main St., Norway. One of Neil Simon’s lesser-known comedies, “The Good Doctor” is a collection of Anton Chekhov short stories, as retold and staged by Simon. There will be five actors, three men and two women, cast to portray the 20-plus characters, ranging from 18 to 70 years of age, in the show. Auditionees will be asked to read from the script; no special preparation is necessary. Perusal scripts are available at the Paris and Norway libraries, however, they may not be checked out and must be read in house. Show dates for “The Good Doctor” are March 14-24.
