MADRID — Old Home Sunday will be celebrated at Reeds Mill Church on Sunday, Aug. 30.
All are welcome to this nondenominational Christian “Church in the Wildwood.” This special day celebrates not only the founding fathers of this church, but all the people who have made the ongoing ministry of the church possible.
A potluck picnic will be held at noon, rain or shine. Bring a place setting and beverage and a dish to share.
The worship service starts promptly at 1 p.m. The Rev. John Gensel of the Dixfield Congregational Church will be the guest speaker. That will be the last summer worship service this year.
Other special gatherings include a hymn sing at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 13; a Thanksgiving service at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 26; and a Christmas Candlelight Service at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 20.
