Online tests sink boating licenses

CONCORD, N.H. (AP) – Hoping to quash cheating, state lawmakers have passed a bill ending online testing for boating licenses.

Prospective boaters still can take an approved online boater safety course, but must head to a classroom for the test.

The move was made as increasing numbers of people opted for online testing, creating off worries about cheating. The measure passed the Senate on Thursday; it already had passed the House.
