Orison C. Tarr Sr.


Lisbon Falls – Orison Clyde Tarr Sr., 71, of Brewin Lane, went peacefully into the arms of his Savior, Jesus Christ, Saturday, Dec. 30.

He was born in Lisbon Falls, Jan. 29, 1935, a son of Richard and Ruth Allen Tarr. He grew up on Earle Street and later raised his own family in a home he built on Gould Road.

He served his Lord actively in many different ways at Lisbon Falls Baptist Church his entire life. In his retirement years, he especially enjoyed the additional time to be “Grampy” to his seven grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Anne (Marstaller) Tarr; two sons, Lawrence, and his wife, Cheryl, of Waxhaw, N.C. and Bradley, and his wife, Betty-Ann, of Exeter, N.H.; two daughters, Roxanne Brewin, and her husband, Bob, of Lisbon Falls and Priscilla Tarr of Waterville; two brothers, Loyd Tarr of Enfield, Conn. and Maurice Tarr of Pickens, S.C.; one granddaughter; and six grandsons.

He was predeceased by a son, Orison Clyde Tarr Jr.
