OTISFIELD — Residents will vote Wednesday on whether to approve an ordinance that would allow Spectrum cable company to provide service to 80 to 90 percent of the town.
The vote will follow a public hearing at 7 p.m. at the Town Office on Route 121.
Administrative Assistant Anne Pastore said at the board’s Sept. 20 meeting that Spectrum made an offer to the town and “we’ve been following the steps to get them to come in.”
She said Spectrum is the first cable company to approach officials about providing service.
Other items on the agenda include:
• Scheduling a date to meet with the Employee Handbook Committee;
• Presentation of the Boston Post Cane;
• Discussion of a letter sent to Oak Hill Road resident about a junkyard; and
• Discussion of snowplowing contracts.
