Potluck

HARTFORD —  The Hartford Community Church deacons will sponsor a potluck supper from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, May 29, at the Hartford Town Hall. In addition to the supper, there will be a silent auction. All are welcome.

Thrift shop closed

SOUTH PARIS — The Thrifty Gift Shop on Route 26 will be closed on Friday, May 21, due to work going on at the building.

Volunteers are needed to help with the thrift shop and the food pantry in order to keep them both open to help the people of Oxford county. Interested volunteers may call Peggy at 357-7072.

Prekindergarten

MEXICO — Applications for the prekindergarten program at RSU 10 are available at all local elementary schools. Eligible children must be 4 years old by Oct 15, 2010. Call 364-3714, ext. 3258 with any questions.

Plants, rain barrels

OXFORD — The Oxford County Soil and Water Conservation District is offering products which give opportunities to plant seedlings and reduce water usage. Plant lists and order forms are available at www.oxfordswcd.net or call Jane or Michele at 743-5789, ext 101.

Orders and payment for native conservation plants and rain barrels are required by noon Wednesday, June 2. Pick up date will be from 8:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 12, at the Lewiston District Office parking lot, 254 Goddard Road, Lewiston.
