School yard sale

OTISFIELD — The Otisfield Community School yard sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 29 and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, May 30, at the Otisfield Community Hall, Route 121. Donations may be dropped at the hall after 3 p.m. Friday, May 28, and during the sale on Saturday.

Funds raised will be used for enrichment programs for students that are not funded by the school district.

Annual breakfast

STONEHAM — The Stoneham Rescue on Butters Hill Road will host the annual Memorial Day breakfast from 7 to 10 a.m. Sunday, May 30. There will be bacon, eggs, pancakes, sausage and French toast. Cost is $5; children under 5, free.


NORWAY — A karaoke night will be held from 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday, May 29, at American Legion Post 82. DJs will be the Old Crows. There will be food available. Tickets are $6. Proceeds will go to the American Legion Post.

Adoption meeting

SOUTH PARIS — The Lewiston office of the Department of Health and Human Services will host a public informational meeting about adoption and foster care in South Paris on Wednesday, June 2. The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. and is expected to end by 8:30 p.m.

Church service

OTISFIELD — The East Otisfield Free Baptist Church on Rayville Road will hold a Memorial Day service at 10 a.m. Sunday, May 30. The choir will sing a special version of “The Star Spangled Banner.” Members of American Legion Post 112 will attend.


HARRISON — The United Parish Congregational Church will host a buffet-style breakfast from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday, May 29. There will be scrambled eggs, homemade pancakes, sausage, home fries, fruit, homemade coffee cakes, orange juice, coffee and tea. Donations will be appreciated.

Society meeting

LOCKE MILLS — The Greenwood Historical Society will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 2, in the Historical Building. Those attending are asked to bring cleaning supplies as the group will be cleaning the two buildings to prepare for Open House Saturdays in July and August.
