LEWISTON – Oxford Networks has made a $10,000 commitment to the Lewiston Public Library and its Marsden Hartley Cultural Center, it was announced recently by library Director Rick Speer. It includes an $1,800 donation to the library’s capital campaign and the provision of Web-hosting services for the library over the next three years.

Oxford Networks CEO Rick Anstey said, “The foundation of any prosperous community is a well-educated population, and a strong library system is a crucial element of the education process. Oxford Networks is proud to help strengthen our library for the benefit of our entire community.”

The cash gift has enabled the library to make final purchases of equipment and furniture for the new Hartley Center. The library is working on a redesign of its Web site and is planning to move the new site to the Oxford Networks server when it is completed later this year.

Speer said, “Our community partners are vital in allowing us to develop a complete range of quality services, and a technology leader like Oxford Networks is a perfect fit for supporting the promotion of our expanding library program.”
