Peter Keaney hasn’t been running track at St. Dom’s for long, with this being the program’s first year, but he’s already making his mark on the program. Keaney won a pair of races at Telstar’s home meet this week, taking the 200 in 25.2 seconds, and the 400 in 55.8 seconds.
Since Ron Chicoine took over the tennis program from his father in 2003, the boys have been nothing short of impressive. They’ve rattled off seven sonsecutive state crowns in Class A, and have lost just one regular-season match. The team’s match record under Chicoine now stands at 111-1.

Amber Wilson, who laid down a bunt in the bottom of the seventh inning of Dirigo’s nail-biting 8-7 win over Madison on Wednesday hasn’t had much time to hone those bunting skills. Wilson, a ninth-grader, forced a wild throw as she sped toward first base, allowing the Cougars to plate the winning run.
