Laura Getchell, Gray-NG senior pitcher

Getchell hurled her team to three wins, allowing just five hits and two runs during the week. She also surpassed the 700 strikeout mark for her career.

Chris Bryant, St. Dom’s

Bryant had a big week at the plate and on the hill in helping the Saints extend their winning streak to nine. He hit a three-run double and a triple and picked up the save in a 9-7 win over Wiscasset. Against Lisbon, he had two key pickoffs to pick up the complete game win in a 2-1 victory. On Friday, he hit three doubles and drove in four to lead the Saints to an 8-6 win over Hall-Dale

Track and field

Allison Fereshetian, Leavitt

In Friday’s four-team KVAC meet, Fereshetian won the 100 and 300-meter hurdles and 200-meter dash — all with a margin of victory of at least two seconds — and captured the long jump by seven inches.

Jeff Ryder, Livermore Falls

Ryder won the 100 and 200 meters and ran the anchor leg of the victorious 4×100 relay, staking the Andies to a victory in a six-team MVC meet at Telstar.

Frankie Lally, Edward Little

Quietly going about her business as the Eddies’ top player, Lally has soundly defeated nearly every opponent this season.

Brian Bradstreet, Oak Hill

After a tough loss to open the week, Bradstreet closed with a pair of straight-set wins.

Ebony Mills, Oxford Hills

In a big win over EL this week, Mills had a hat trick, and she had eight more on Wednesday in a rainy win over Mountain Valley.
