AUBURN — The Auburn Page Turners will host a discussion on Harper Lee’s most recent novel “Go Set a Watchman” at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, at the Auburn Public Library.
“Go Set a Watchman” has been called both a failed sequel and a first draft of Lee’s most prominent book “To Kill a Mockingbird.”
According to the publisher, the book features many of the characters from “To Kill a Mockingbird” nearly 20 years later. Jean Louise Finch, known as Scout, returns home to Alabama to visit her father Atticus. She struggles with issues both personal and political, involving Atticus, society and the small town that shaped her.
