SABATTUS — Nomination papers are available for the third open seat on the Board of Selectmen.
The board decided Tuesday night to open the nomination process for the seat left vacant by Don Therrien, Town Manager Andrew Gilmore said.
People interested in running to complete the two years left on Therrien’s term have until noon Oct. 14 to turn in 25 signatures.
The races for the one- and three-year open seats on the board are already set, Gilmore said.
Residents will vote on all three seats Nov. 4.
“We’re holding back the printing of our local ballot until this particular seat is set,” Gilmore said. Because of the late date, “the vendor has agreed to place a priority rush on the printing for us.”
State ballots should be available for absentee voting next week, he said. Local ballots should be available for absentee voting in about three weeks.
